B/W

While studying at Emily Carr College of Art and Design in Vancouver (1988), I took a course in photography and darkroom techniques, and absolutely loved it. Part of the attraction may have been my love for the old square-format black and white photos that filled my family’s albums.  While I’ve always owned a camera, it was the purchase of my first DSLR camera in early 2014 that lead to my working almost exclusively in photography. While I enjoy colour, more often than not it is the monochromatic images that have a hold on me.
